The Charleston Stage Company has finally announced the cast of their season opening production of William Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Playing Proteus and Valentine are Jeff Bukovinsky and Brian Roller respectively. Other members of the cast include Tim Mace as Lance, Mandy Petry as Speed, Courtney Flint as Julia, Suzanne Lawrence as Silvia, Greg Morris as The Duke of Milan, Kate Morris as Lucetta, Joe Wallace as Sir Eglamour, Dan Heyman as Antonio, Emily Dunn as Ursula and introducing “Abbie” in the role of Crab.

The Charleston Chamber Music Society kicks off their 68th season Saturday, October 3rd at 7p.m. with the Garth Newel Piano Quartet performing intimate and impassioned music by Johannes Brahms and Gabriel Fauré. The concert takes place at Christ Church United Methodist, on the corner of Quarrier and Morris Streets, Charleston, West Virginia.
The Garth Newel Piano Quartet is known for high-energy performances and virtuosity, in concerts that are informal, conversational, and even interactive.

This September, Charleston will play host to two musical giants: the band Foreigner and country singer Jason Aldean.
On September 24, Jason Aldean will perform at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium at the Civic Center. Charleston is just one stop of Aldean’s Wide Open 2009 tour, which takes him all around the United States. Tickets start at $23.50, and can be purchashed online through Ticketmaster.com.

The East End Family Resource Center is holding the grand opening of their Senior Programs at their Roosevelt Neighborhood Center on Ruffner Avenue.
