Amelia Schroeder has opened a new show at Charleston’s The Purple Moon last Thursday, 21st July 2011. The Purple Moon is located at 609 Quarrier Street, and is open from 11 AM to 5 PM Tuesdays to Fridays and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.
Inspired by nature and the outdoors, Amelia Schroeder’s art has a flowing and organic feel to it that evokes memories of water, wind, and trees.

High Rocks is holding the 4th Annual NettleFest on 30th July 2011. The event will start at 11 AM and will wrap up at 5 PM.
Festival activities include musical performances, art exhibitions, kids activities, the NettleFest cook-off featuring dishes made wit h nettles, and the NettleFest dinner.
There are also plenty of booths selling West Virginia crafts and artisan food products.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids under ten are free!

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History will hold an exhibition to make way for the celebration of the 75th Mountain State Forest Festival (scheduled for the 1st to the 9th of October 2011).
