Chocolate lovers have more reason to celebrate as Lewisburg brings back its annual chocolate festival. Now in its 6th year, the festival features 3 days of chocolate goodness, culminating on Saturday, April 14 with the Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza.
The festival starts on April 12, with a cooking class on how to prepare dinner using chocolate in creative ways. The class will be taught by Chef LeeAnn Rodgers of Blackwell’s Restaurant. Though monoprints use materials that can make multiple copies of one design, the technique utilizes and single impression of an image, then reworking the image so no two prints are exactly alike.
This technique will be taught at the March ReArt:Monoprints event on Saturday, presented by the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
The workshop will be taught by local artist Naomi Bays, who is also the chairwoman of the Arts Council of Kanawha Valley. The technique to be taught in the workship requires no press, and can be used with simple household items. …
