Fancy cars and vintage rides will be rolling into Kanawha Boulevard as car collectors bring in their beloved wheels for the 15th Charleston Boulevard Rod Run & Doo Wop.
Now on its 10th year, the annual car show is a four-day event, with programs for the car aficionado and their families.
The event begins on Wednesday, September 30 at the Mardi Gras Casino and Resort in Nitro, WV, where vehicles will have a cruise in. The car show officially opens on the 1st of October, with all the automobiles parked on Kanawha Boulevard all the way from its intersection with Capitol Street all the way to Magic Island.
There will be swap meets, exciting exhibitions, trolley rides, NSRA safety inspections, raffles, and an autograph session with “Big Daddy” Don Garlits. Country artist Brian Collins will also perform on Thursday evening, the Band of Oz will hold a concert on Friday evening, and The Legacy Motown Revue on Friday evening. There will also be shops featuring arts and crafts products, concession stands, and fireworks.
