West Virginia’s top chefs are coming together to compete with each other at the 4th Annual Chef’s Challenge to be held on April 8 at the Charleston Civic Center.
Competing chefs include Café Camino and Country Inn’s Tim Urbanic, Bridge Road Bistro’s John Wright, Edgewood Country Club Jeremy Still, Catering Unlimited’s Joe Zando, Charleston Civic Center’s Todd Jones, and Buzz Foods’ Paul Smith.
The challenge? Whip up some incredible meals using only ingredients usually found in the Covenant House pantry.
Aside from the chef’s challenge, there will also be a silent auction of various items of interest, exhibit of food structures made out of canned foods (part of the 8th Annual Canstruction Competition), and an open bar serving wine and beer.
Tickets for the event are selling at $100 per person, and they are selling fast! Organizers are encouraging interested patrons to buy their tickets advance, as they are not available at the door. To reserve, call (304) 344-8053 ext. 22.
