6th Annual Chef’s Challenge

The Covenant House of Charleston is inviting everyone to their 6th Annual Chef’s Challenge 2016 on April 5, at the Charleston Civic Center, in Charleston WV.

Renowned chefs from all over West Virginia have accepted the challenge, including Isabel Cross of Restaurant 21, Dennis Harris of the Edgewood Country Club, Anne Hart of Provence Market Cafe, Todd Jones of the Charleston Civic Center, Paul Smith of Buzz Foods, Tim Urbanic of Cafe Cimino Country Inn, and John Wright of the Bridge Road Bistro.

The challenge does not come in the form of sabotages or mystery ingredients — the chefs will have to create a five-course gourmet meal using ingredients usually found in the Covenant House Food Pantry.

Apart from the dinner, attendees to the event can also participate in the silent and live auctions, and buy tickets to be included in the drawing to win an original sculpture by local artist Mark Blumenstein. The Covenant House of Charleston also has a unique exhibit of sculpture made of canned good at the Clay Center from April 2-6.
