Amelia Schroeder has opened a new show at Charleston’s The Purple Moon last Thursday, 21st July 2011. The Purple Moon is located at 609 Quarrier Street, and is open from 11 AM to 5 PM Tuesdays to Fridays and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays.
Inspired by nature and the outdoors, Amelia Schroeder’s art has a flowing and organic feel to it that evokes memories of water, wind, and trees.
“Nature is the best piece of art I have ever seen,” says Schroeder, “From grapevines and bubbles to rain and microscopic tissues, I am influenced and inspired by the patterns, luminosity, colors and shadows of our planet.”
Schroeder graduated from Marietta College with a degree in Studio Art. She has participated in local and overseas art competitions and as well as hold exhibits in Ohio and surrounding areas.
