The third annual BridgeFest is happening this Thursday, June 28, 2012. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of late Chef Robert Wong of the Bridge Road Bistro. Contributions are accepted at the main ticket tent for the Wong Scholarship Fund and the Breaking Bread at Christ Church United Methodist.
The event will feature live music from the Fort Hillbillies, the WV National Guard Climbing Wall, archery demonstration by Frank “The Aspirin Buster” Addington, Jr., and a silent auction hosted by Cottage Row Furniture.
Children’s activities like facepainting, jupiter jump, painting tote bags, arts & crafts will also be present, as well as Bojo the cowboy clown.
Yarid is sponsoring “Style Your Soles,” where you get to have your pair of Tom’s Shoes personalized and handpainted.
There will also be giveaways, including four tickets to the fall performance of Cirque du Soleil, sponsored by the Charleston Civic Center.
Outdoor dining at A Taste of Bridge Road lets you sample the best eats in the area: The Bridge Road Bistro, Hussons, South Hills Market & Cafe, The Wheelhouse, Bridge Road Mart, and the Havana Room.
