The Coventant House of Charleston will be holding its 10th Annual Canstruction on April 2-6 at The Clay Center in Charleston, WV.

Seven teams from various businesses, churches, and government agencies are competing to build the most impressive sculpture using an interesting medium: canned food. The event is part of the organization’s food and fundraising drive. All cans of food used in the creations will be donated to stock The Covenant House’s pantry, which will be used to feed over 10,000 in the Kanawha Valley.

Prizes will be awarded to the teams who made the best use of the canned good’s labels, structural ingenuity of their creation, best meal, juror’s favorite, the people’s choice award, and the can spirit award.

The construction will commence on April 2, and will be on display at the Clay Center until April 6th.
