The Kanawha City Lions Club is once again hosting the Capital City Art and Craft Show, an annual event that is more than 40 years old. This weekend, the Charleston Civic Center becomes a showcase of West Virginian arts and crafts.
Opening today, November 22, the Art and Craft show will feature exhibits and demonstrations, and will be graced by over 160 artists and artisans from all over West Virginia and a handful of other states. This is the perfect opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind originals that you’d want to have in your home or give away as gifts for the holidays. Thanks to the strict screening imposed by the Kanawha City Lions Club, you can be certain that each exhibitor are selling high quality items, and not mass-produced from overseas.
There will be activities for kids, and good food is also available for sale at the back of the Grand Hall. In keeping with the Kanawha City Lions Club’s sight conservation program, there will be free glaucoma screening for adults and youngsters. The event is also a fundoraiser for the organization, with the net proceeds distributed to Charleston and West Virginia Charities, schools, and other civic responsibilities.
The Charleston Civic Center is located at 200 Civic Center Drive, Charleston, WV. For more information, visit the Kanawha City Lion’s Club website.
