Comparsa, a Latin ensemble based in West Virginia is coming to Charleston to perform on May 5.
They will be performing at WTSQ Block Party at Mi Cocina de Amor on 711 Bigley Ave, and then continuing the party at The Empty Glass in the evening.
The Block Party will be held at the parking lots between Mi Cocina up to Washington Street West. Event goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. There will be Mexican street food, craft beer from Proud Eagle Dist, as well as face painting and dance exhibitions. The party is a fundraiser for WTSQ 88.1 FM The Status Quo, an independent radio station.
