Looking for something to do tonight? Why not join DaveJam 2009 for homegrown music, good ‘ol comfort food and great company. A benefit birthday jam for David Lavigne, it will be held at Lake Chaweva in Cross Lanes today (March 28) from 2pm to 10pm. This jamming session to celebrate David’s 48th birthday is in support of his ongoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Those who are joining in the celebration will enjoy live music — some of your favorite Sam’s Uptown Cafe regulars are said to be participating in tonight’s jamming session. Do you play an instrument? Bring them tonight, and jam!

There will be pizza, fried chicken, hotdog, chips and non-alcoholic drinks, free for all, but you can also bring snack and side-dishes, as well as alcoholic drinks. Bring your own blanket and comfy chair, and hope the weather cooperates tonight.
