The East End Family Resource Center (EEFRC) “builds bridges of opportunity” for residents of Charleston. We provide free out of school programs for students, Parents As Teachers for new parents, the Fatherhood Program, provide information/referral services to the community and are adding Senior Programs in September. The Senior Programs will provide a noon meal, exercise classes, arts & crafts, and computer classes.
The EEFRC are hosting our 5th Annual Walk for Kids in memory of Chace Miller on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Appalachian Power Park from 11 am – 1 pm. In conjunction with the Walk they will also be hosting an Information and Health Fair.
They are looking for Organizations/Businesses that provide Health, Information or Services to families or individuals of all ages to have a display at the event. Business who would like to have display space at the event may contact Beth Kerns, President, Board of Directors of the
East End Family Resource Center via email (firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a space and get more information.
The EEFRC are also looking for people to walk in their event. Registration is $10 and starts at 10 am. The first 100 to register will receive a T-Shirt. Walkers may get sponsors to raise additional money for the EEFRC. The entire walk will take place inside Power Park by walking the perimeter of the park. There will be music, displays, and lots of fun for all ages. Registration form attached.
