The Kanawha County Main Library will hold a screening of the documentary, From Flint: Voices of a Poisoned City on Monday, August 28 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This is a free event.
The documentary focuses on the Flint Water Crisis, featuring stories from people who have first hand experience, as well as the activists working tirelessly to help the affected communities. This will no doubt strike close to residents of West Virginia following the Elk River Chemical Spill, which affected the Kanawha Valley’s water system.
Karen Ireland, member of the steering committee of the Advocates for Safe Water Systems and the West Virginia Citizen Action Group will lead the discussion following the film.
