Halloween comes once more to Charleston, WV, and what better way to celebrate the weekend than with a four-day Halloweast event?
Now on its 7th year, Halloweast is happening on October 28-31, 2015 at Charleston’s East End. The highlight of this year’s event is the Main Street Murder Mystery, a real-life, life-sized version of the CLUE game.
Interested participants can purchase a ticket/card for $15 to try their hands in solving the crime, or $25 for a second CLUE card. This event will be held at the Appalachian Power Park, at the Morris Street entrance. Tickets are available for purchase online.
A crowd favorite, the Zombie Walk is back on its 6th year. On October 31, walkers will be starting at Moxxee Coffee in the corner of Lee and Morris street, and make their way down Quarrier Street all the way to Elizabeth Street. Come in character and prepare to meet some runners down along Quarrier street!
Coming together with the Zombie Walk is the Scared Sprintless, a 5K run/walk that loops around the historic East End. Registration is open up until the day of the event. Price is $45 per individual, and $40 each for groups of at least four persons. Half of the money raised from registration will be donated to The Charleston Parkinson’s Support Group, and the other half will go to the revitalization efforts of Charleston’s East End.
Other events for the weekend includes Artmares, an art exhibition from October 28-31, Free Friday Night Freak Show on October 30, and a Costume Crawl for kids and adults on October 31.
