Award-winning comedian, author and TV personality Jeff Foxworthy will take the Clay Center stage for two special performances on Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. He is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and bestselling author of 11 books. Widely known for his redneck jokes, his act goes well beyond that to explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature. Foxworthy currently hosts “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” which airs on Fox network. He also executive produced and starred in the popular “Blue Collar TV” series that was introduced after the success of “Blue Collar Comedy Tour, the Movie” and the concert tour of the same name. Since then, the Blue Collar boys have reunited for multiple sequels. The soundtrack to “Blue Collar Comedy Tour – One for the Road” was nominated for a 2006 Grammy Award. In addition to his success in television and film, Foxworthy’s talents also extend to the literary world. He has had more than 26 books published, and in 2005 he wrote Jeff Foxworthy’s “Redneck Dictionary: Words You Thought You Knew the Meaning Of.” The book ranked No. 2 on the New York Times Bestseller List, paving the way for two more editions. His children\’s book “Dirt on My Shirt” was released in 2008.
