Description: At 8:00 pm the WVSO will perform a free concert on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. on the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park. Conducted by WVSO Artistic Director Grant Cooper, this special concert features exciting music loved by audiences everywhere. The WVSO will perform works including selections from John Williams, Rogers and Hart Gershwin and The Beatles; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s famous 1812 Overture; and many others.

As a special treat, this concert highlights the talents of WVSO’s Symphony Idol competition winner and local favorite Ryan Hardiman. This performance guarantees fun for fans of classical and popular music of all ages. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public, which is sponsored in part by the law firm of Jackson Kelly, PLLC with additional support from BrickStreet Insurance and the West Virginia Symphony League.
