Symphony Sunday 2009: A Pirate’s Symphony

symphonyThe West Virginia Symphony Orchestra will kick off Symphony Sunday 2009 with a party on June 5, featuring music by Lost Cause. Pirate’s Parley, as the party is called, will be held at the University of Charleston at 2300 MacCorkle Avenue. Tickets are at $40 each (or $500 per table). There will be complimentary rum punch from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, heavy hors d’ oeuvres and cash bar. Come in your best swashbuckling costume and win a prize!

If partying is not your thing, join the Beat Beethoven 5K Run/Walk on the following morning, June 6. You can also join the Sunday Brunch (reservations required) or watch the Sunday afternoon entertainment beginning at 1:00 pm. There will be a Pirates’ Caribbean Dinner on the Lawn, starting at 5:30pm. The event will be capped with a free concert and fireworks.
