As a non-profit, the market holds an annual fundraiser to help keep the market going. The 2014 Capitol Market Mixer is happening tomorrow, October 1, 2014, from 6pm to 8pm. Enjoy great food, gifts, and drinks, as you support the future of the market. Tickets costs $75 at the gate.
The Bring Cooking Back cooking classes is back this October! Featuring cooking demonstrations, this is where you’ll learn how to get the best flavors out of the ingredients you can buy from the Capitol Market merchants and farmers.
Classes start on Thursday, October 2, and will be taught by Chef Paco Aceves of the Berry Hill Country Club. There will be classes every Thursday of October, taught by Chef April Hamilton, except for the October 16th class, which will be taught by Chef Andrew Quesenberry, the 2014 Winner of the Charleston Taste of ALL. Classes start at 11 am, and are free to the public.
