Vince Gill at the Clay Center

Country singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Vince Gill will be performing this May at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV.

The man behind the hit songs “The Reason Why” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain” will be performing at the Maier Foundation Performance Hall on May 8, at 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $35, $35, $65, and $75, and are available to be purchased online through the Clay Center website, or the Clay Center Box Office.

Hailing from Norman, Oklahoma, Vince Gill debuted in the national country rock scene as a part of the Pure Prairie League in 1979. He appeared in the band’s album, “Can’t Hold Back,” and sang the lead for the song “Let me love you tonight.” He has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1991, and has collaborated with various bands and singers since, including Dire Straits, Daughtry, Bonnie Tyler, and Kelly Clarkson.

He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012, and was the recipient of the Irving Waugh award for excellence in country music in 2014.
