Discover the wild and wonderful of West Virginia at the WV Outdoor Sports Show, happening this weekend at the Charleston Civic Center.
Now on its 47th year, this three-day exhibition showcases the newest adventure zones for travel, hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, and other outdoor activities in West Virginia and around the region.
Aside from exhibits and vendors, there will also be activities families can participate in, including the Little General Catch N’ Release Trout pond, which offers a hands on opportunity to catch and release trout of varying sizes. This is a free activity available for all participants.
There is also an Archery Tag, a safe combat sport that is similar to dodgeball, but done with a recurve bow and patented foam-tipped arrows. Attendees may also get to experience Disc Golf with three-time world champion Johnny Sias.
Prizes are also at stake, like a weekend stay at the WV State Park courtesy of the Wild Wonderful WV, and a 2016 Bridge Day High Line Adventure at the New River Gorge Bridge.
Tickets are $7 per person (children 12 and under are free). The show hours are 2 pm – 9pm on Friday, February 12; 10 am – 9 pm on Saturday, February 13, and; 12 noon – 5 pm on Sunday, February 14.
