Title: West Virginia Youth Symphony Ensembles
Location: the Main Library in Charleston
Description: Spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon listening to various chamber ensembles of the West Virginia Youth Symphony. Students in groups of two, three, four and five members perform music from various composers throughout history. The West Virginia Youth Symphony is a non-profit arts organization that supports five music ensembles and numerous chamber groups. Today\’s West Virginia Youth Symphony consists of more than 90 members, including players from Ohio, Kentucky and seven counties in West Virginia.
On five consecutive Sundays, a musician or group of musicians will be featured from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Children\’s Department on the third floor. Some of the artists will have CDs available for sale following their program.
