My wife, Betsy, and I purchased our first Betty Warner painting in 1981. That particular painting was later selected to make a tour with the Smithsonian, representing Appalachian art. Her watercolors capture for me not only the beauty of the Appalachian landscape, but also a warm, comfortable feeling about it. The still lifes are equally charming, and seem to display her intelligent personality. We feel fortunate to have been introduced to Betty and her art. She is also an excellent teacher and has been an inspiration to me and many other amateur and professional artists.

wateracolor artist. We enjoy her paintings so much.

I love Betty’s explanation of her first “studio” — under the dining room table in her home! Each Christmas she shares her art with our senior fitness class (Chas. Family YMCA) via postcard prints of a selected painting. She’s done this for years, and they are much appreciated.

Betty recently invited our group to an open house at her home, which was a delight. My husband, Dave, and I were able to have a “guided tour,” getting firsthand the interesting anecdotes that went with the paintings. It’s wonderful the way Betty has documented her many trips abroad with her beautiful watercolors.

Betty has brought so much beauty to so many people with her art and music. I’m very proud to call her my friend.Long may she reign.She is a world traveller and always creates beautiful memories on canvas of the places she has been.Did you know she’s a formidable table tennis player?
