30th Annual Spring Film Festival

filmIf you haven’t had the chance to catch the movies participating in the West Virginia International Film Festival, you still have a chance to do so before it closes tomorrow, May 17, 2014.

Films showing this evening are Surviving Cliffside (5:45 pm), Enough Said (7:00 pm), and the Past (8:45 pm). Tomorrow, the film line up are as follows: Blue Jasmine (4:30 pm), Wadjda (6:30 pm), and The Great Beauty (8:30 pm). Movie synopses and trailers are available at the WVIFF website.

Tickets are available at the box office, and are priced $8 for general admission, $30 for a six-pack, and $5 for students with ID. The box office opens 20 minutes before showtime.

The West Virginia International Film Festival was organized in October 1985 and hosted the first fall festival in the same year. The spring film festival started the following year. The film festival has been held at the historic WVSU Capitol Center Theater on 123 Summers Street ever since.
