A staging of the well-loved classic, “Anne of Green Gables” is happening this weekend and next at the Capitol Center Theater on 123 Summers Street, in Charleston, WV. Proceeds from this performance will go to benefit victims of child abuse.
The performance has started on Friday, with today’s performance at 2pm and 7 pm, 3pm on Sunday, 7pm on March 23rd, 2pm and 8pm on March 24th. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $10 for seniors, students and military with valid ID. All matinee shows are for $10 only.

Written and directed by Lawrence Burgess, the production is inspired by the 1908 novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, about the adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11-year old orphan mistakenly sent to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who were intending to adopt a boy to help them with their farm in the fictional town of Avonlea.
