The deadline for submission of entries for the Art-for-ALL student art exhibition has been extended to May 1, 2014 to encourage more students from all around the region to enter. The organizers have already received a good number of entries, but most of them only represent two counties.
The exhibition is open to young artists in Grade pre-K through sixth grade, and residing in Boone, Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, and Putnam counties. Interested artists can submit works in various forms: painting, drawing, photography, collage, mixed-media, printing and graphic arts, sculpture, pottery, woodcrafts, glass, jewelry, and textiles, mixed media and construction with recycled materials, or video (maximum of five minutes).
Submitted works will be displayed in a slideshow at the FestivALL and the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences websites. The artworks will be exhibited at the FestivALL proper happening on June 20-29, at the Clay Center.
