Capital City Striders

trackOne of West Virginia’s admirable organizations, the Capital City Strider focuses on youth development through sports. Student athletes who are members of the team hone their track and field skills during summer break, and particpate in club activities aimed to make positive changes in the community. This non-profit organization operates on donations and grants from sponsors throughout the state.

Middle school and high school track and field athletes can join the team. Registrations is currently ongoing for the 2009 season. Interested parties can register online (http://capitalcitystriders.org/On-Line_RegistrationForm.html). Registered athletes will be provided with uniforms during practice. For the month of March, all practice sessions are held indoors at the King Center in Charleston, every Saturday at 9:00 am.
