Celebrate the good harvest at the Country Fall Festival, to be held at the West Virginia State Farm Museum this weekend, October 5-6, 2013.
During the festival, you can learn how to make apple butter and cider, as well as sorghum molasses, which you can also buy. There will also be an antique gas and steam engine show, gravely swap meet, working saw mill, antique tractor pull, entertainment, quilt show, antique bottle show, as well as church service and gospel sing. The Country Kitchen and Store will also be open.
The WV State Farm Museum is located at 1458 Fairground Road in Point Pleasant. This is a living museum, with log cabins, early farm house, churches, doctor’s and newspaper offices, and even an operational 19th century blacksmith house. The museum is also home to a several farm animals, including horses, chickens, donkeys, goats, and llamas.
