Fireworks for the Fourth of July

fireworksCharleston, WV is gearing up for another grand celebration of our independence with two grand fireworks show this coming Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th.

The Friday fireworks will be at 9:30 pm, after the Live on the Levee show featuring “America’s Got Talent” winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. The show, which starts at 6:30 pm, will be at the Haddad Riverfront Park, which is the best place to view the fireworks.

Touted as the region’s biggest fireworks show, it will utilize two launch sites: the first round on MacCorkle Avenue, across the Kanawha River from Leon Sullivan Way, and also along MacCorkle Avenue, directly across the river from the Haddad Riverfront Park.

The second fireworks show on July 4th will be after the home game of the West Virginia Power, set for 7:05 pm.
