The Kanawha County Public Library is holding a manga drawing contest this January. Contestants must draw a character in the distinct Japanese style to qualify. Artwork can be done in any medium, and must be dropped at any KCPL location (full name, phone and library location on the back of the entry.). A signed release form (available at www.kanawhalibrary.org) must also be submitted with the entry. The Manga Art Contest is open to teens aged 12 and up.
All submitted artwork will be displayed in the library’s website and will be open for voting on February 1 to 15. There will be one winner from each library. The winning artists will receive an anime DVD.
