This April, the Kanawha Players is staging Nathan Sander’s The Sugar Bean Sisters. Starring Shayne Workman, Kat Johnson, Patricia Wehrle, Ginger Basham-Workman, and Micki Maley, the play will premier on April 19, 2013 at 8pm. It will be followed by performances on the 20th, 26th, and 27th, all at 8pm. There will also be a matinee show on the 21st at 2pm.
The Sugar Bean Sisters is the story of the Nettles sisters who are determined to escape spinsterhood by hopping the next spaceship out of town, and they’re not going to let the arrival of a snake charmer, a handsome Mormon Bishop & a mysterious bird woman stand in their way.
Tickets costs $16 for adults, and $10 for students and children under the age of 18. Family and season tickets are also available. The play will be staged at the Kanawha Players Theater at 309 Beauregard St., Charleston, WV. For tickets, call (304) 343-7529.
