Les Misérables opened last weekend at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences to a satisfied audience of musical lovers. Co-presented by the Charleston Light Opera Guild, this beloved Broadway musical will be back on stage this weekend, on November 8, 9, and 10, 2013.
Directed by Nina Pasinetti, much excitement was generated by the coming of the musical to Charleston, WV. Many enthusiasts have come to audition, and many talents were discovered.
The upcoming performances will be at the Maier Performance Hall at the Clay Center, 7:30 p.m. on November 8 and 9, and a matinee performance at 2:00 p.m. on November 10. Tickets are priced at $25 for reserved seating, and can be purchased online at the Clay Center’s Online Box Ticket website.
Les Miserables tells the story of Jean Valjean, who was convicted and imprisoned for stealing bread. When he was paroled after spending 19 years in prison, he struggled for redemption and to remain free.
