Considered as West Virginia’s finest improv comedy troupe, the No Pants Players is a group of seven talented individuals from the local and community theater that share a love for the improvisational comedy. With a style similar to television’s “Whose Line is it Anyway?” the group’s performances rely heavily on each member’s abilities and intincts on their fellow players.
Over the years, the No Pants Players has taken residence at the Labelle Theater, becoming regular performers with monthly shows at Labelle’s stage. The skits are family friendly, and have been a great addition to Charleston’s theatre scene. The No Pants Players are currently gearing up for a third season performance in 2009 at Tamarack in Beckley, WV. This is after a successful second show in July 2008.
Part of the No Pants Player’s success is their equally successful “Pants Drive,” wherein audience to the group’s Joytacular shows are encouraged to bring and donate used clothing items to be donated to the Covenant House of Charleston. In the three years the NPP has been running this clothing drive, they were able to gather over $2,4000 worth of clothing items.
