The Paterno’s are making a comeback: Paterno’s at the Park is opening this October. Niki Kurten, daughter of Mary Jo and Andy Paterno of Paterno’s Little Italian Seafood Inn, is bringing her mother’s recipes back into Charleston’s culinary scene, along with original recipes by the restaurant’s chefs.
The kitchen is headed by Chef Brent Pauley, formerly of the Edgewood Country Club. He has created a red snapper entree, in a spicy tomato sauce, as well as a 14-ounce veal chopped, piccata-style, which is predicted to be the restaurant’s signature dish.
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinners, with lunch prices between $9 – $15, and dinner prices between $15 to $40. Paterno’s at the Park is at the Appalacian Power Park on Morris Street. For inquiries, call (304) 720-7640.
