What better motivation to run and run fast than a group of zombies chasing you?
Charleston, West Virginia’s East End is holding another Zombie 5K Run/Walk on October 25, 2014 at 7:00 pm. This unique after dark road race is a thrilling way of fundraising for a good cause: it will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Lindsey Strader, who died in 2012 at the age of 33 after a life-long battle with the disease.
To make the run more interesting, human contestants may choose to wear belts with life flags, which zombies (at several intervals of the course) will attempt to take. Prizes will be awarded to runners with the fastest time, runners with the most life flags, and even zombies who got the most life flags.
Pre-registration is on-going until Friday, October 10. Pre-registration fees costs $35 for individuals, and $30 per runner/walker for groups for four or more. All pre-registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt and Run Like Hell cinch sak.
General registration starts on Saturday, October 11 and will be open until race day. Registration fee during this time is $45 for individuals, and $40 per runner/walker for groups.
