Enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz music this weekend at the Simply Jazz and Blues Festival to be held at the scenic Drift on the New River in Sandstone.
The festival will be graced by James Cotton, Roomful of Blues, Johnny Rawls, Zac Harmon, Doug Macleod, Biscuit Miller and the Mix, The Bob Thompson Unit, Austin Walkin Cane, Sackclothe2joy, and Donnie V, and many others.
Music will start playing at 5pm today at the Main stage, and will continue until 11pm. It will resume on tomorrow at noon, with two stages for different acts. The last show on Saturday will end at 11pm, while the last show on Sunday will end at 8:15pm.
Tickets cost $30 at the gate, but if you’re going for the entire weekend, the pass go for $75. Students aged 13-17 are half-priced for admission, and must be accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and under go in for free.
