String greeen beans for Manna Meals

beansIt’s green beans season once more, and Manna Meals, in an effort to stock their freezer for the upcoming winter, are asking volunteers to buy and string green beans this Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Capitol Market in Charleston, WV.

Each volunteer are asked to buy a pound of green beans, and string them as they listen to music at the market and donate the stringed beans to Manna Meals. This event is from 10 am to 2pm only.

Packets of note cards are available for a $15 donation, which comes with photographs of the Manna Meal garden. Proceeds from this goes toward the maintenance of the garden, which produce and provide Manna Meals with about 3,000 pounds of fresh vegetable a year.
