The 31st Annual Sue Browning Wildflower Hike is happening on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Chief Logan State Park. This is a free event and is open to everyone aged 4 years and up.
Registration starts at 9am at the Museum in the Park in the park grounds, and participants can have a continental breakfast. Hikes will begin between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. Registration forms are available online, and at the park office and the museum.
Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and comfortably with layers that they can remove if it gets too warm. Hiking boots and sturdy shoes are also a must on the trail, as are rain gear in case it rains.
The Chief Logan State Park can be reached by going south on US Highway 119 from Charleston, WV, and turning left at mile post 33.5 onto Old Logan Road. The park entrance is about five miles from the turn off.
