The John Williams Experience

orchestraNobody was able to capture the emotions of a motion picture better than John Williams. Immerse yourself with his music at the John Williams Experience happening at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV on March 14 and 15, 2014.

Knowns for his iconic and memorable works in the films Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and the first three films of the Harry Potter films, John Williams had a hand in creating the trademark sounds we associate with our favorite movies. He has won several Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards, and British Academy Film Awards for his works in films and television.

John Williams also composed and arranged “Air and Simple Gifts,” a quartet which was performed at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009. The performing orchestra included musicians Anthony McGill (clarinet), Itzhak Perlman (violin), Yo-Yo Ma (cello) and Gabriela Montero (piano).
