West Virginia Division of Culture and History

Downtown Charleston, West VirginiaSeeking to identify, preserve, protect, promote the ideas, arts and artifacts of the state, the West Virginia Division of Culture and History aims to build the pride among its citizens on the state’s past accomplishments, and confidence in the future.

To accomplish this, the organization hold events and exhibits to raise awareness and interest in the community. Events likes interactive workshops featuring traditional music or dances are held throughout the year. Likewise, cultural exhibits are also prominently featured around the city in various galleries and museum, dipicting early life in West Virginia and significant events that shaped what the city and the state is today.
