West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival

filmNow on its 5th year, the annual West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival is happening on March 20-23, 2014 at the WVU Creative Arts Center.

The organizers are calling out for submissions to be screened during the festival. Experienced and aspiring filmmakers are encouraged to join the festival with their own work that encompass the festival theme this year, Escape. Entries can either be a documentary short, narrative short, animation or experimental. Films must have a maximum running time of 20 minutes, and must be completed after January 1, 2011. English subtitles must be included for non-English entries.

General submission fee is $10, while college students would only need to pay $5, for up to three entries. Young filmmakers unders 18 years can enter for free. Deadline for submission is February 25, 2014.
