The West Virginia Writers, Inc will be holding their annual Summer Conference on June 9-11 at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, just 30 minutes away from Charleston, WV.
The three day event will feature numerous writing workshops totalling to more than 30, with topics ranging from poetry to children’s literature to graphic novels. Workshop presenters include award-winning author Donna Stanley Meredith, slam poetry artist Joe Limer, and filmmaker Daniel Boyd.
The three-day weekend package for the conference is priced at $125 for members of West Virginia Writers and $145 for non-members. Two-day pass is priced at $105 for members and $125 for non members. Single day pass varies in price per day: members pay $65 for Friday, $75 for Saturday, and $55 for Sunday. Non-members will have to pay $85, $95, and $75 for the same days.
Lodging and meals can also be arranged for the conference, with accommodations ranging from dorm rooms ($15.90 per night) to motels ($63.60 per night) to lodges ($76.32 per night). Meals start at $6.63.
