In an effort to document homegrown family recipes, the The West Virginia Bureau of Senior Services is asking everybody to share their family’s recipes for a cookbook that they plan to publish as “Homespun Love from the Stove: West Virginia Heritage Recipes.”

Send in the recipes that has been passed down from generation to generation, be it soups, salads, desserts, holiday fare, casseroles, vegetable dishes, favorite meals and comfort food. Include your name, country of origin and any family story related to the recipe and e-mail them to wvseniorservices.gov. You can also send it via post address to:
