Do you like wine? Are you ready to take it to the next level? Join the Wine Appreciation 101 workshop hosted by the Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College.
Students will learn about the different variety of wines and wine regions, as well as a discussion about the different categories used by wine makers to evaluate the characteristics of a particular wine.
The course will also touch on proper ways to serve wine and wine pairings with entree, cheeses, and chocolates. Since the workshop will be held at the Fisher Ridge Winery in Liberty, there will be a tour of the winery and vineyards. There will be a tasting afterwards, and a practice scoring for each wine according to categories.
The workshop will be on September 21 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The course fee is $94 per person, and pre-registration is accepted until September 19. Interested participants can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (304) 205-6603.
