Wine tasting and West Virginia wines
Wine lovers in Charleston can look forward to The Liquor Company’s wine tasting on July 23rd. Featuring wines from the Pacific Northwest, the tasting will commence at 5pm. Fee for the tasting costs $10 per person. The Liquor Company is located at 1600 Patrick Street Plaza.
If you’re looking for wines sourced locally, you can try Potomac Highland wines, which are grown in Keyser, WV. The Potomac Highland Winery were able to grow the vinifera variety at the Fried Meat Ridge Vineyard. This is the kind of grapes native in Europe and is the source of the world’s best wines. Among the wines available are cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, Riesling and chardonnay.
Potomac Highland wines are widely available in West Virginia. For more information, call (304) 788-3066 or visit their website at www.phwinery.com.
