There are two YMCA branches in Kanawha, one at Cross Lanes, and the other in Charleston, WV. Both branches feature health and fitness facilities, and offer programs for the whole family. Aside from fitness and recreational facilities, the YMCA also provides childcare and various activities for children.
Located at 100 YMCA Drive, the Charleston Family YMCA is open daily, from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm every Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm every Saturday, and 10:00 am to 10:00 pm every Sunday. Weekend hours may change during the summer. They only close every Memorial Day and Independence Day.
The facility in Charleston has an indoor 6-lane 25 meter pool, a large Whirlpool, saunda and steam rooms, health and fitness centers, multiple gymnasiums, indoor tennis cours, racquetball courts, outdoor athletic fields, group exercise studies, multi-purpose sports gym, free weight and strength equipment, spin studio, and cardio theatre, making it one of the largest in Kanawha Valley.
The YMCA is offering a summer membership, valid until August 31, 2013. Membership categories include Youth ($60), Teen ($75), College ($95), Adult ($135), Single Parent ($165), and Household ($185).
