How long have you been living in Charleston, and why did you decide to settle in this city?

I returned to West Virginia in 2004 after going out of state for my undergraduate education. I grew up in Winfield, so West Virginia is home to me. I settled in Charleston because I felt that the it had some of the amenities of a big city, with a small community feel.

How do you find the general vibe of Charleston?

I think that the overall vibe in Charleston is positive, and laid back.

Which season is Charleston at its best?

The fall; the changing colors are incredible.

What do you think is Charleston’s biggest attraction?

Festivall has become a great event and seems to keep getting bigger every year. It offers a great music and arts experience and has events all over the city.

How would you describe Charleston to someone who hasn’t been here before?

The capital of West Virginia, with a small town feel.

What are the cheap thrills that you can enjoy in Charleston?

Mountain Stage, Appalachain Power Park, Live on the Levee, take a walk on the Boulevard and take in the scenery.
