How long have you been living in Charleston, and why did you decide to settle in this city?

I have lived in Charleston for 12 years and have worked in Charleston for 20 years. I grew up in Fayette, County WV, left the state after college and moved back home when an opportunity to work in my home state presented itself.

How do you find the general vibe of Charleston?

I think Charleston has a balance of peaceful, down-home feeling as well as some high energy and exciting times.

Which season is Charleston at its best?

I love the fall with the leaves changing colors in the hills that surround the city.

What do you think is Charleston’s biggest attraction?

The live music of Live on the Levee and Mountain Stage.

How would you describe Charleston to someone who hasn’t been here before?

A scenic river city with a quaint downtown, wonderful people and activities from outdoors to cultural to get involved in.

What are your top 5 dining places in Charleston?

Bluegrass Kitchen, Bridge Road Bistro, Chop House, Blossom, Soho’s

What are Charleston’s attractions that every tourists must visit?

The Clay Center, the Capitol complex and take in a Mountain Stage

What are the absolute must-try’s for every visitor in Charleston?

Whitewater rafting trip in the Spring/Summer, hiking in Kanawha State Forest, Lola’s Pizza

What are the cheap thrills that you can enjoy in Charleston?

Walk along the river, grabbing a sandwich and sitting on the steps at Haddad Riverfront park, taking in the Vandalia Festival and Festivall
