WV FestivALL Sightseeing Cruises

Enjoy the sights of as you cruise along the Kanawha River onboard the River Queen.
From June 25 through June 29, the BB Riverboats will be running a one and a half hour sightseeing cruise up and down the Kanawha River.
Cruise times vary on the day, but there will be a 12 pm cruise on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; 2 pm cruise on all days, 4pm cruise on all days except Saturday, and a 6pm cruise on Wednesday and Thursday.

2014 Oscar Nominated Shorts Screening at WVIFF

The West Virginia International Film Festival will be screening the 2014 Oscar Nominated Shorts for the animated and action categories, as part of the 10th year celebrations of the FestivALL, on June 23 and 24 at Taylor Books in 226 Capitol Street.
The animated shorts will be screened at 5:30 pm, and is appropriate for children ages 10 and up. Animated shorts to be screened includes “Feral,” “Mr. Hublot,” “Possessions,” “Room on a broom,” and “Get a Horse!”

East End Main Street StreetWorks Art Auction and Celebration

It’s time once again for the Annual East End Main Street StreetWorks Art Auction and Celebration. June 25th will launch “Street Works: Revolutions,” the new public art installation project that can be found all around Charleston’s East End.
Hosted by Ed Brightwell, the event will allow guests to place bids on different artworks by talented local artists that will be permanently installed in revolving displays at five locations in the East End business district. There will also be great prizes to be raffled off to attendees.

The Blob

The Contemporary Youth Arts Company is staging Scarpelli and Kehde’s tribute classic sci fi thriller, The Blob, at the WVSU Capitol Center Theatre on June 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27 and 28.

West Side Wiener Dog Races

Get your daschund ready and set to go go go at the 8th Annual FestivALL West Side Wiener Dog Races on June 21th at the Stonewall Jackson Middle.
The race is just one of the many events of the FestivALL weekend, and the kick off for other dog events for that day. Registration for the race opens at 10 am until 12:30 pm.
