Deborah Herndon’s art

Charleston native Deborah Herndon is amongst the 26 artists chosen to display for the Fourth Annual “Art & Earth” Exhibit of the Berkley Arts Council.
Her work, “Tree Looking Up, Corsica,” was chosen by a national jury among 134 other artists from all around the United States. The exhibit is already ongoing at the Berkeley Art Works Gallery in Martinsburg, and will close on May 4.
Three of Deborah’s artwork is also featured at the “Memento Mori (Words and Images)” exhibit at the Beckley Art Group in Beckley, WV until May 11. …

The deadline for submission of entries for the Art-for-ALL student art exhibition has been extended to May 1, 2014 to encourage more students from all around the region to enter. The organizers have already received a good number of entries, but most of them only represent two counties.
The exhibition is open to young artists in Grade pre-K through sixth grade, and residing in Boone, Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, and Putnam counties. The 31st Annual Sue Browning Wildflower Hike is happening on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Chief Logan State Park. This is a free event and is open to everyone aged 4 years and up.
