Dancing at the Stonewall Resort

Put on your dancing shoes and head out to Roanoke for the Stonewall Resort dance weekend. On March 30 to April 1, learn the different ballroom and Latin dances or dance the night away at this event presented by WV Dance Inc.
The dance weekend starts on Friday, with lessons on the East Coast swing, followed by a dance party showcasing different kinds of Latin and ballroom dances. The activities continue on Saturday with cha-cha and ballad dance lessons and a dance in the evening.

Cake decorating class at Goodwill

Bakers who want to bring their skill to the next level or people who wants to gain new skills can take a six-week professional cake decorating course at Goodwill. Starting March 12, the course will be held every Monday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at 1005 Virginia Street.
This is a hands-on course that will teach the students to design and decorate cakes with flowers and leaves, writing and using different icing colors. There is limited space in the class, so reserve your slot by calling (304) 523-7461. The class cost $100.

Life Writing Class at The University of Charleston

The Life Writing Class is a 10-week course for writers who would like to put together memoirs, confessionals, devotionals, how-to nonfiction, short stories and novels anchored on real-life experiences.
The class will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesdays beginning 6th March. It will be held at the Rhododendron Room, Riggleman Hall, University of Charleston.

Night with the Stars Benefit for Children’s Therapy Clinic

The Children’s Therapy Clinic will be ho.ding its 8th Annual Night With the Stars Oscar Gala this Sunday at Embassy Suites Hotel.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will continue throughout the live broadcast of the Academy Awards — which will shown live on a big screen.
